Hillside Surgery - Everyone Project

Working with a local GP surgery to refer patients into an 8 week mindfulness programme. Once a week for two hours this MBLC course was really helpful in helping individuals to learn new skills cope. Here is the feedback in their own words:

It helped me sitting through the course with like-minded others, learning new skills to change the way i think. Being in the group helped me realise that I am not the only person that feels this way.

Very helpful in managing my own pain, anxiety and overwhelming thoughts. i find myself keeping calmer.

Feeling more positive, feel less anxious more able to move away from anxiety.

Although the course is not an cure, it has enabled me to cope better with my depression issues. I very much enjoyed Jons delivery and the way he allowed the group to bond.

I have learned to relax more and control my breathing and also sleep is better.

Has given me the knowledge to calm the mind in formal settings. Body scan has helped me to relax and sleep.

Appreciation of ageing and nature.

Now have several tools for relaxing and taking note of breathing, physical feelings and letting go.
