This session provides a insight into this popular approach. Content is time dependent and will always have a practical element. Learn essential skills for calm, resilience and communication. Focus on actually improving mental health awareness with mindfulness.
Full Day Mindfulness Workshop
This is an excellent way to begin your mindfulness journey. Leading you through an introduction and how it works, then 4 key exercises to participate in. The difference between informal and formal mindfulness and how they work together and in the workplace. Linked to previous learning with resilience and mental health awareness, along with scientific evidence to back it all up. Ideal group size is 10-20 and will include discussion and feedback, resources to use at home. This workshop also counts towards 2 weeks of an 8 week course.
Focus on Resilience
Without resilience we will begin to develop stress that can effect the way we and relate to people. This workshop describes what resilience is and informs people how to recognise it, set goals and learn simple skills to cultivate it. Discover what your current stress and resilience levels levels and set and critically review potential changes that you want to make. Develop motivation and learn skills to calm the mind. Using a workbook that particpants can take away and focus on goals and choices based on wellbeing.
Focus on Suicide awareness
This is a sensitive topic, but with suicides on the rise, especially with men, this session is about understanding and spotting the signs and what to do and how to help others. 2.5 hour session to raise awareness and inspire compassion for others.
Focus on Healthy Eating
Learn the basics of a healthier approach to food and cooking. Learn how your body reacts to stress and its effect on digestion and burning calories. How to eat, what to eat and why eat the right stuff. Understand how evolution has helped you body to put on weight and that sometimes it is not your fault. learn how to reward yourself with healthier treats and how reducing your alcohol intake can help to loose fat.
Focus on Dyslexia
Take the perspective of someone with dyslexia and help to learn how to communicate more effectively with 1 in 10 of your workforce. Help remove hidden biases that exist for some people and support those with dyslexia to find new ways in dealing with this difficulty.
Focus on Autism/Aspergers/ADHD
Appreciating the difficulties people are facing at work with these conditions can help to include colleagues as well communicate more effectively. Many people are misunderstood and end up being side lined into activities that do not suit them.
